For private collectors and corporate clients, I provide expert consulting on art acquisition, commissions, and long-term collection strategy. With an artist-first approach and a strong ethical framework, I help clients build collections that align with their values while holding long-term significance. My approach centers on supporting local arts communities while staying attuned to the social and cultural shifts shaping our world.
For artists, I coach with over 25 years of experience across museums, community arts organizations, commercial galleries, consulting firms, and independent curating, offering grounded insight into the art world. I help artists cut through the noise, clarify their direction, and build customized action plans to stand out and thrive professionally.
Svea Lin Soll brings over 25 years of experience in the art world as a gallery owner, exhibition and sales director, and art consultant. She began her career in community-based nonprofit arts organizations, facilitating exhibitions and public programming that prioritized accessibility and engagement.
As the founder of Swarm Gallery — an experimental space in Oakland for contemporary artists working across all media — Svea championed emerging and mid-career talent through exhibitions, flat files, public events, and on-site studios. Since then, she has helped a wide range of private clients acquire meaningful artwork for residential, hospitality, and corporate environments.
Throughout her career, Svea has built lasting relationships with artists, grounded in collaboration, trust, and a shared commitment to sustaining the creative community, particularly in the Bay Area. She is a founding member of Art + Climate Action, a collective dedicated to building a more sustainable art world, and currently serves on the board of the Berkeley Art Center.
Swarm Projects evolved from the brick-and-mortar gallery into a dynamic consulting practice. In 2025, she renamed the business Svea Lin Soll to reflect the highly personal, relationship-centered nature of her work. Svea now collaborates with clients, architects, developers, and artists to curate comprehensive art programs for both public and private spaces. Her large-scale commercial projects often draw inspiration from local landscapes and cultural narratives, highlighting regional artists whenever possible to reflect and support the surrounding community.
“From start to finish, Svea is involved, responsive and very helpful in every way possible... which allowed me to produce the best possible work for the project. She respected my opinion but never left me waiting for hers. Svea understands the creative process, communicates very well, and overall was a pleasure to work with. I would love to work with her again soon!”

“Swarm accommodated every client concern and produced an effort that exceeded my expectation in every respect. For example, I was concerned that the murals could be damaged and not be easily removed. Svea looked into all the practical and legal concerns around this issue to resolve it quickly. Her artists started on time, and finished under the deadline. The commissioned work progressed without a hitch and without disruption to completion. Seeing the paintings displayed in our public areas of the building even generated a lot of sales interest!”
-Private client
“Svea's grounded approach to any project demonstrates her wealth of knowledge and care, which is beyond evident once the art is up on the walls.”
